Once again a book/comic put together by someone who doesn't understand the technology its used on.

My Kindle software for my laptop refuses to download it, claiming incompatible technology.

My Kindle Software on my Nexus-7 2013 downloads it but cannot magnify it so the actual panels can be read effectively.

Thus because of this the poor rating I've given it. People need to make items that are UNIVERSALLY readable for different screen sizes and different versions of the Kindle Software on different devices. Why is there any reason in the world to BLOCK the use of the magnification tool??? There is no logical reason for doing that. Nor making it unreadable on a larger screened Laptop or desktop.

Green Lantern #1 eBook Geoff Johns Carlos Pacheco Van Sciver Ethan Reviews

A little taste of the lantern is always nice. Not sure why these spin offs always reference a back story when they are supposed to be new, but this worked fine enough.
I read Green Lantern when I was much younger. What a kick to read it in my iPad app! I gave it four stars because I was occasionally lost as to what was happening. Otherwise I really enjoyed it. Great drawings.
I grew up reading DC comics, along with Marvel comics, and this was an interesting comic. It has been a long time since I read a comic from Marvel or DC and this story was kind of like a new intro into the Green Lantern mythos.
I have to say I've been a huge Sinestro fan for awhile. Sinestro has always been known as one of the best and most powerful ring-slingers and nowadays we rarely get to see that. I loved some of the early stories with him and Jordan. I was actually disappointed not to see more of him as Jordan's mentor in the live action film. The comic did not provide a lot of backstory, it assumed that the reader knew that Sinestro had created his own corp of yellow ring slinging villains, that opposed the green lantern corps. Somehow Hal Jordan's ring left him and chose Sinestro or something. In the end Sinestro was once again chosen by the rings to represent the Willpower of the universe. The comic starts there. The look into Jordan's life shows just how much of a flyboy he really is. He left his life on Earth to be a GL and now that he isn't he has no idea what to do. I was actually shocked by how he treated one of his oldest friends, he's supposed to be a lady's man. The comic ends with showing how these two rivals will come together again. Really spiked my interest.
This graphic novel tells the story of how Hal became Green Lantern and a member of the corps. Something deadly is killing earth 's inhabitants and he must stop it. Two full pages are difficult to read on the kindle version as they can't be expanded.
It seems to be the beginning of a great story being told. Being a fan of the green lantern, I find that it is a lot of fun to read. I like the fact that they did not make him to for from the green lantern we all grew up with. If you are a green Lantern fan then you need to get this comic.
It's been many, many years since I've read a comic book, let alone a digital one. And, while it was fun to see the ink again, I believe I would have also enjoyed the storyline if I had been able to read it.
If you're planning a new, digital release, you ought to adhere to the parameters that this format requires. Minimally that includes allowing both portrait and landscape modes, as well as assuring that the dialogue is printed large enough in ALL frames for a smooth and continuous read.
Sadly, that is not the case with this new Green Lantern comic.
